Local journalist and film maker, Phil Vine, was so impressed with the recent climate change anthology No Other Place to Stand (AUP) edited by Jordan Hamel, Rebecca Hawkes, Erik Kennedy and Essa Ranapiri, that he asked Erik if he could gather up some of the local poets featured in the book and others of like mind to be filmed reading their work and being interviewed regarding their thoughts on climate change. Phil represents Toi Otautahi a local arts forum.
So on 11 August at the Orange Studio, Ferry Road we assembled and after delicious vegan nibbles and red and white wine and othe drinks went into the little studio to make the film. Thos taking part included Philip Armstrong, Rose Collins, Gail Ingram, Danielle O’Halloran, Melanie Dixon, Leona Kamuhangirere (only twelve years old, brave girl!) , Erik Kennedy and me.
The film has now been released and can be found at:
